Thank you everyone who has commented! I appreciate all of it, and I'm glad you're diggin' it so far

I figure I'll just keep sticking the new images here at the top until I can't put any more... if there end up being that many of them...

Of course, the final will be all digital, but I think in analog, so for the development of the mood and whatnot, I will start in pencil.

so here is the first pass on the female natives of the Lifeless Forest:

The forest itself will not really be lifeless... it is more named out of misunderstanding, as is so often the case. There will be lots of little skulls and skullies all over of the place! Little skulls hanging from strings and webs and embedded in trees and whatever else I can think of:

I will do more and post them as they come

Starting to play with the princess, well, not PLAY with the princess but... you know... draw her:

whew, a busy day, but at least it was consistent and productive...

Here's a little mood piece I was working on before my good ol' Intuos 2 started crapping out on me... I'll back to it when my Cintiq arrives in a couple days. This is not the final piece, simply a little vignette/mood illustration:

Those look really good! I love the character-sketches and the skull-creatures are adorable (which is weird but true.)

The squirl in the middle of the skulls is killing me... OMG... it's so cute it friggin' hurts my upper torso!

I particularly like the natives, very strong design and automatically mysterious. I hope you work out a fantastic composition, these characters deserve it.

these are great! lovin' the skulls on the forest animals! and I really love the way you draw girls bodies! so simple but its all there-must learn-throwing these into my 'girl studies' folder for when I start up my 'get better thread' in the drawing jam section

I LOVE the newer stuff.. That little "mood" piece is lovely. I am seriously so excited to see this finished piece. I have a feeling it's going to be an instant favorite of mine.
