i've been following this thread, such a great choice of character and the sculpt is coming along really nice
will you be the doing a similar facial expression as the one from your ref pic? i think it would really bring him to life

      Default Update No. 7

Thank you everyone for the feedback and support. I am sorry for taking so long to post an update. I have been very busy bringing everything up to a similar level of detail and working out the final idea and pose. That said, in this post contains a lot detail inconsistencies on many parts, and I still have yet to model teeth for him .

Emisphere66 - Thanks for following and posting. I really appreciate the feedback. I will see what I can do about the expression. My original plan was to have a expression similar that to the cover, which wont really read until he has teeth. That said, I will also investigate the idea to give him that sinister smile .

Moni-Poroni - As always, thank you for stopping by, !

The idea for Pan is to combine his character and wood like characteristics growing around a rock to form a complete bust. This was heavily inspired by many beautiful Bonsai trees I have seen at local gardens and on the internet.

      I hope you like it!

      -Robert

I saw the last update a few hours ago, but then I had to go for a walk with the dogs and had no time to leave a comment.
The base is so cool! It fits perfectly to Pan! Kudos! Are you going to texture your model?

kavi_mewa - Thank you, I hope to add some more roots soon to really sell the tree base growing into the rock.

zemotion - Hehe, thank you Z, I had a brows at your photography thread, you have some bad ass skills yourself!

Moni-Poroni - Cheers! For the challenge turnover, I probably will do a base color map on everything to help the separation of major details. I don't know if I will have time for a full texture pass on him before the 25th, but maybe at some point ill break down and do it .

Great model and great treatment of the character.

I think you really brought it all together with your last few moves.

                    Best Wishes,
                    Darrel
