Scorge - Nice work yet again, the 3-d view has good perspective - looks huge, and the bones are solid. I can already tell it's going to be sweet. Especially whatever those shoulder appendages are.

Jukka - Really like your sketch sheet, the confident curving lines, the solid joints on the limbs. Resulted in a really inventive creature. I'm wondering if it has some sort of knuckle hoof for running.

The Seeker - Cool drawings so far, I like how you tweak and modify parts. I agree with Mike, 3rd row down, I like the backpack thing on the first one, and the rest of the body on the 5th.

Dman3d - Those bubbles are rad, the model is really coming along nicely. Are the bubbles zbrush too?

Mike Corriero - Either two weeks, or two weekends works good, seems that's when folks have time for fun. If there was a place to sign up for the 'creature planet email' so we know when a new topic goes up that could help too. (Or can I just subscribe to some parent thread?)

Here's the weekend work on the beast - tried going for the old timey, folk arty colors on the painting.

The anatomy sheet still needs some work, labels etc., but it's close. Still trying to figure out what that blue organ does - I'm guessing it makes Jelly. Yummy, tasty Broadback Jelly! The kind Grandma used to squeeze!

Thanks Steve. That interior of yours is pretty sick. Like the style you're going with.

@Jukka: Damn! Color choice and volume are out of this world. Looking good!
    Making some progress.

Scorge - That is bananas! AWESOME paint job, looks totally 3-d. Color scheme is tight, and the reverse xray mode is slick.

Wow, everyone's work is looking great and nearing completion... Found some time to finish the rough sketch of my Jelly Bubbled Broad back creature. I started laying down paint but no substantial progress to preview yet.

This is what was going through my head: The liquid or jelly pouring out from the 'jelly bubble shell' has dual purposes. It acts as a lure for smaller creatures, sticky and highly venomous. Once dead or dying and stuck to the harding jelly the Jelly bubble broad back has its next meal. The other purpose for the bubble shell is for protection - like markings on a butterfly wing, the bubbles look like eyes and its back is supposed to look like a larger scary creature to frighten away any potential predators...

After my first attempt, I realized it pretty much looks like a messed up spider so I tried pushing the concept a bit more. I'm just barely learning how to digital paint so this stuff goes pretty slow.

              Thanks guys!

One more update before final. Quite a few tweaks left but it's been fun.

Had a little time today to fool around. I usually start with line work and then go to color. I just started this one with some random b&w shapes.. started to turn into some kind of croc, snapping turtle, chameleon thing.. I won't have time to finish this but just thought I'd post a rough doodle.
