    Default Hedgehog in the fog

    'morning, everyone! Decided to open a sketchbook at last, despite not having much interesting stuff to show, in the hopes that it'll come with time No point in postponing anymore.

    Anyways, I'm Arnici and 24 going on 25. Studied a bit of art in highschool, but having such a fear of failing at the time I tried to avoid the classes as much as possible. Last year I started drawing again, using a little Volito2, loved it and began to study more consistently with the Crimson Daggers and even more consistently since the beginning of the year. And planning to keep it up

    Here goes some studies and whatnot.

      I know the anatomy is even more questionable in the last one, but I had fun doing it anyway

        Thanks, Alex! Can't wait to get to a few pages of these and really see the improvement. And everytime I see your name around I remember I should do figures. I love yours, heh. :}

          you sure have your way with colours; they are pretty! i really like your painting skills but i think you will benefit if you were to focus on your drawing so your painting will look solid, with good structure and more believable

            Thank you, pauscorpi! I know I have structure problems and that focusing on that will allow me to paint more interesting pieces :} So I'm gonna try not to get discouraged so easily when I see how bad my figures turn out.

            These figure looks great =) Only one I could fault is the bottome left ones arms, they look a bit short. Other than that awesomeness all round!! Is the drink still life or photo? Either way it looks good

            Also Hedgehog in the Fog, it reminds me of one of my favourite short animations. Though I recall it was "Mist" - co-incidence? Same thing? It's touching anyway =)

              The still life is a photo, unfortunately. The lighting here is terrible with this neverending winter and I didn't seem to get around to aquire a proper light source :}

              Hedgehog in the Mist, yes, I think that's the official English title. Though I like fog better, it rhymes. I love that animation and it's awesome that you noticed what's this all about :}

              Half master study, done for a little challenge. Unfortunately it's pretty obvious which half doesn't belong to Bouguereau ;-}

              Photo study, tried to paint it ignoring the purplish hue; ah well.

              Failed experiment.

              And a lil' thing I'm planning to colour.

                        Hey Arnici figures looking good, try to define the form with circles and try to figure out the actual form. I have the same problem to often and that helps me. The beelady looks great so far, watch the elipse of bucket it looks not right in perspective as it is now. Keep pushing you already made a great progress in my opinion.
