Ish - Thanks. You may want to try some blind contour drawings, that is to follow the outlines of the figure with your eyes and not looking down at your drawing, while your hand draw the line that your eyes see. It's a good excercise that will fine tune your hand eye cordination, as well as developing your natural style for lines.

... sweet post Oliver. Art schools are good business. If anyone lives around Denver, you can come and draw nake ladies (sometimes dudes) at my studio for free.

I will be traveling in the US and then overseas for the next three weeks, so you won't hear from me for a while. It's up to you guys to keep this thread going with drawings!

Thanks, that sounds like it could be alot of fun. I'm gonna try some of those, I hadn't heard of that before.

And and - oh awesome! I might be flying to colorado in a few months. I'd just kill to draw some REAL LIVE NAKED LADIES!

Has anyone heard of Dr. Sketchy's? It's this thing with burlesque figure drawing that happens in some major cities once a month.

I should suck it up and start drawing from life again. I have this bad habit where everything I draw is from imagination and my little knowledge of human anatomy ;-; one day it's bound to come bite me in the butt.

Nope, mitosiskain...it doesn't count as 'life' drawing if you're not drawing from real life! Photography distorts. Now, that's not to say it isn't helpful! But it ain't 'life drawing', I'm afraid.

I see, and understand. I don't think I'll be able attend a life drawing class, so I'll just have to ask random people to sit still while I attempt to draw them.

Has anyone ever done this before... What's a typical response? ex: "get lost stranger"

Edit: There seams to be a class listed on Craig's list that charges 15$ per session... but there's not a chance my parents will let me go to something like that. I'm an adult but they still have all the control.
