ohhh i particularly like the bw portrait. there's a really nice detailing in his face that i find slightly missing in the rest of the works (a little too smooth/shiny? haha). but that's just my personal preference. looking forward to new piece!

Now that I figured out the gallery feature, I am going to be placing finished pieces there, and leaving this for sketches, I think. Anyway, added on to the gallery today.

That drow/cthulhu warrior piece is really nice Shane, I love the detail of the head and tentacles. It's been quite a while since I've seen new work from you, glad you started a sketchbook here.

Playing around with color and lighting, and trying to get more of a "painterly" feel to things - not sure if I succeeded or not.

Nice work! I love the Drow vs Mindflayer and the creepy one below it too. Nice colors!
I like the last one too but I think either the warms or the cools need to be less saturated. They seem to fight with each other because they are about the same saturation.

Felicia - thanks. I think you're right. I'll play around with that again and see if I can't balance that out. I want to keep the warms up, so I'll drop down the saturation on the shadows.

^an update on the image I posted earlier. I think I'm done with it for the time being.

^This was a pencil using the same characters as in the above image - it was first go at using them, so there's some differences I want to go in and adjust. I'm much happier with the characters in the garden setting. Pencil on paper.

^Concept for Creature Planet(s).
