Up until 3 months ago I was using a Graphire 4x6 but then I found I had a lump of money I wasn't doing anything with and bought a Cintiq 12w.

It's the single greatest thing I own and has changed how I work. I'm not a pro by any means but I've made major improvements since getting it and it's just plain fun.

The only downsides to it are the fact that it heats up and that I'm afraid of scratching it. And I'd hardly consider those downsides.

when i tried it, it got warm but nowhere near as hot as the 21inch Cintiq gets. i also love that it's no heavier than an intuos.

Shalite, the intuos 6x8 is really nice, yeah, but really i pesonally feel like as long as it is a wacom, you're good I worked with a tiny 4x6 wacom tablet for years, and it wasn't bad really

I've never tried any of the other sizes. I honestly don't understand why you would even need anything bigger.

Oh, haha, that's good. |D; I really haven't tried any other tablet, so yeah. Maybe later I guess maybe I'll get something, but you're right, I am pretty happy with it.

for a long time I've had a Graphire 4x6 tabbie, which broke down on my about 3 years ago. Just recently though I decided to get back on the money spurge train and get myself a Intuos3 6x11 tablet. and WOW! it's a beautiful tool and I'm loving it!

I'm hoping to get myself one of the Cintiq Models in the near future, but it may not happen for a long time now. this tablet it too good

I'm using a small Wacom, but I have no idea which modell. It's the one of the Favo Comic Pack. I'm in love with it ever since
I'd love to have a bigger one one day.

                    cintiq 20wsx (widescreen one)
although I think if I could do it over-I'd go with the smallest-12wsx or whatever its called-and get a laptop
or better yet just grab a modbook-although I would miss using hotkeys (no keyboard as far as I could tell)

anyone have or used a modbook?

ps...cintiq is friggin' awesome-mostly cuz its just so much FUN
yes it heats up, especially at the top where the little LED is...like HOT sometimes...but who cares-its epic fun
and it actually motivates me to draw/work which is worth its weight in gold...or should I say gasoline these days?

                    ugh...me=

I'm using a Graphire 3 6x8 and its been serving me quite well i must say. i'm hoping at some stage to upgrade to either the 6x11 intuos 3 or a 12wx cintiq... probably the former.

does anyone else use one of those smudge guard gloves? i cant live without mine cause otherwise i stick to me tablet. my workmates laugh at me but they are great i tells ya...

Whatever he does to make his hands so sticky can also cause blindness I'm told, and that would be even worse for an artist
