Default How do you guys get to know about cghub?

    Hi, guys:
Just curious how cghub becomes so popular all of a sudden. I didn't know this site until somebody sent me some articles here, and then I found out there are already a lot of users and posted portfolios.
Anybody know why it becomes so big very quickly?

    Let's share ideas.

I heard about it from fellow artists. The great thing about this community is that we really are already quite closely knit. Artists talk and share with one another and good things get passed along quickly.

I also noticed that, as the gallery setup here is so simple and polished, many artists choose CGHub as their main gallery page, and will direct people here on their business cards. I see alot of CGHub URLs in ImagineFX as well.

Our participation in the Dominance War IV has also gotten alot of attention. CGHub is definitely going places.

I followed a link to the colour wheel swatch palette in the Tools section (from someone on DevArt who used it) and that's what brought me here ... three days ago.

      I'm here for the learning.

Same here, fellow artists. I saw the front page and was drawn in to the site as it seemed well done and wasn't going to vaporize like certain other sites. I also liked that it excluded photography. I like photography but given the nature of it, other forms of art get drowned out easily by the mass proliferation of photographs.

I agree, this site looks very nice. I feel like the quality of the art works user uploaded here are better than most other portfolio hosting sites.

I know about CGHub since Dominance War IV, before it I never heard about...
But when I came here to see some DW wip-threads, I saw that it's a really good place with awesome content and great artists
            That's why I'm here now

most of the artists I'm most familiar/friends with are here. And I love the layout. And I'm obsessed with the mystery of who the Admins/owners are :|

I can't remember who told me about this place, but I have a feeling it may have been someone who knew me from the days of the Mess Studio Chillroom. Vlad, maybe?? Either way, I saw that a few familiar faces from Mess had signed up here (including the legendary Hoon himself - and not to mention you, Jeff) and decided to join the party!

Freaking brilliant choice, really... there's so much incredible art here every day - even though I don't create illustrations much these days, I'm continually inspired by the incredible standard of work here - not to mention how awesome everyone is (particularly a few of you from the prediction game... you know who you are )!

I had a friend that made a profile here long ago and sent an invite to another close friend of mine, and he sent an invite to me... and here I am. I really agree with what was said here, the site just grew up so fast, I think this is due to the fact that it's far more complete and organized than some other forums. That's why it caught me and I'm sure that's why it caught up lot of other artists.
