I been trying to use manga studio and photoshop to ink, however, whenever, I do attempt to ink something it looks pretty awful. Heres an example below.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong except that its wrong, can anyone guide me into tips etc?.

You have a really cool character here, the only thing I can say is that your line-work needs variations.
For this I just used one of the standard hard brushes in PS w/ a hard brush also used on my eraser (since I can't always get the perfect line) hehe. Also get a little more loose with your work and don'y be afraid to go a little crazy with the black.
