Since everyone is doing WIP because its the cool thing to do, and because I'm actually really happy with how this picture is going at the moment, I thought I would share it with all my new CGhub pals =P

I havent done a portrait in some time even though I find them extremely fun for practicing colour and light. I'm using a photo reference.

Anyway, tell me what you think, crits are welcome of course. (for parts done ^^; )

I definitely like where this is going. Not much to crit except that the dark line between her lips might be a bit too sharp and hard. Besides her face the rest looks way to sketchy!.. I'm kidding of course

I think she's missing some hair

(okeey, I'm kidding) but besides that it looks good, and also like her image.
Perhaphs add some shiny reflection on her face (nose perhaphs) ( sorry, I just love those reflections, makes the skin/ face more alive and healthy).

@Peraiia: Hehehe, yeah, I love face shinyness too, it makes it look great. I did some shinyness around her eyes and lips but hadnt gotten to anywhere else yet

I think the upper lip is a bit too sharp. Maybe make it just a bit more rounder, adding the shape that goes in the middle of the top lip (I dont think that last bit made any sense, cant find any other way to describe it) But that all depends on your source picture though, if her lips really are like that, then disregard what I said. Other than that, it looks pretty damn good so far. Maybe make the contrast of shadows and lights a bit more strong once you got most of it done. But thats really it. Great so far.

PS: Agree with Syran, your avatar is pretty sweet.
