Default Character WIP (Nio Guardian)

Due to some feed back concerning the anatomy on another forum, I think its probably a good idea to post some reference, so the context of the character is better understood. To those not familiar with Nio Temple Guardians, it just looks wrong

so here was the inspiration for this character...

Latest Zbrush work... scheduled to be a game asset.

This is my interpretation of a Nio Guardian. My goal was to make it more human and life like (less statue-ish), while still keeping their signature anatomical features in tact. The most challenging aspect so far (where the most time was spent) was balancing these elements out (human and Nio ).

Still a little ways to go, with some accessories and details to add etc...

Default Updates

Updates:

Made some adjustments to face, to make things a little more expressive. Allot of adjustments tweaking to the anatomy etc... thinned out the forearms, as I thought they where a little bulky + added some more accessories. Last but not least did some paint work.

C&C welcome...

Couple more Zbrush renders, with a different material. The working material didn't show the diffuse as well....

Default Updates!

Ok, so I've gotten more feed back... and the Nio torso keeps coming up. So I've decided to change it to something more human and believable, with this hybrid design... where I kept the upper portion of the abs Nio-ish, and the torso more humaniod. Overall, I think its a good compromise, and balance between the two...

The arms where a little to big, mainly the biceps and delts... so I scaled them down a bit here, plus did some additional tweaking on the torso...
