Hey everybody!

Here's a bit of conceptual art based on Batman Beyond and Captain America. The goal was to create designs that could ultimately be used in a live-action film.

I wanted to go with a sleek, almost ninja-like design for Batman that hints on hidden technology and gadgets, without looking too busy and obvious. As for Captain America, I wanted to go for a modern-day, state-of-the-art armored suit that's grounded in just enough realism to not look ridiculous in front of his fellow soldiers, while still providing enough flexibility for him to move quickly and freely.

I tried to make sure that these characters not only translated well on film, but were easily recognizable.

These concepts are cool. But I think you should play a little much more with the different part of your suits. Everything seems to be in one piece only, especially for the bat. But it is maybe you volounteer.

Thanks for the input Alex! Actually, the idea for the Batman Beyond suit was to keep it pretty close to the original cartoon design. I wanted it to look very simple and black from far or from and obscured view, and have the line details and hints of advanced technology become more apparent the closer you got to it. With the story taking place in the future, I though of the suit material as being a kind of advanced 'skin' that would be thicker in areas that needed protection, and super-thin in areas that require more flexibility, such as the mouth and all joints.
