It's time for the Wip . I saw a lot of works already started and I'm expecting the end to see finished like Shileanos , Eduardo Vieira of course Dkreset and Diissar , also the really sexy Queen from Jpedro the darkly Queen from Bergcrantz I guess ChaReed got time to finish too and all the others .
It seems the only finished for the moment is the beautiful and refreshing queen from Northern Girl . I'm afraid mine is gonna be more ugly and close to hell . ![]() Last edited by scala; 09-18-2009 at 05:47 AM. |

DKRESET, your queen is gorgeous. The way you rendered her eyes and her hair is simply great. I look forward to see her finished soon!!! :-)
DIISSAR, thanks for the comment, I' surely try to work more on her expression, even coz I really wanna clearly show that she's a crossdresser. Anyway, I did a little modification on her clothes and advanced a bit more on the painting. here it is, hope you all like it. :-) ![]() ![]() |

![]() I'm at that point where I don't really like what I see... D: I tried to apply a sort of tapestry texture in the background, but it went poop, so I have no idea what to do with it now. I'm thinking I should change the lighting slightly? I'm really stuck now. I won't be able to make this as polished as I like because I'm moving into my flat at the weekend for uni, then classes start, so I'll post what I can by the deadline. Any c&c is very much appreciated, I have no idea what to do with it now apart from give her more jewellery and make her clothes fancier (and finish the guns/legs of course :3). I'll definitely finish this off, even if I don't get it fully rendered by the deadline, it's been alot of fun so far XD |

@northernchild: yup it's supposed to be a young queen during her throwning, maybe on her sweet 16 ^^
Here is for today: ![]() All the entries here are quite amazing! I loved dkrest, looks more than promising, and what can we say about scala... OMG really impressive work!!! I'm trying really hard guys! I normally only sketch b&w, coloring is really a pain in the ass for me, but I'll work until it comes the right way and fluently... Plus I just moved to Paris to work for Ubisoft ![]() I work as character rigger/skinner, and I'll be doing facial rigging for a big game that should launch on 2010, isn't that SO COOL ^^ (but I really don't have that much time to work on my 2d )I'm really giving it my best, plus I'm staying at a friends flat and she'll be lending me her imac 24 for the weekend!!! I feel soooo lucky! Anyways keep it up and see ya tomorrow ![]() |

Nothing like leaving things to the last minute, so I'm not sure if I'll get an entry in or not but man, some very nice images this round!
dkreset, really beautiful painting you've got going on here, I'm definitely looking forwards to seeing the final result ![]() EduardoVieira, haha awesome work! There's something a bit unnerving about the different scale of her eyes, but I think that adds to the expression quite nicely.scala, fantastically creepy, gotta say, which is great to see! (love the match-head guys, very cool) diissar, really nice look to your piece so far, lovely mood coming along hoping to see you get it finished.NorthernChild, Now that's a queen with attitude indeed; definitely got the ice-queen feeling down pat! rhagin, Nice mix of traditional and stylised queen-elements, and I like the bell-mace idea—perhaps some extra fancy engraving on the surface? It's quite a large blank area at the moment. Good luck to everyone! Gonna be a hard choice for the judges, not like it ever isn't ![]() |

lots of inspiring stuff in here!
I decided to go with this concept instead, more of a portrait. kind of liked the old one but it felt to big and complicated and I wanted to focus on just the queen still ways to go ![]() |
