Unhappy Wacom Bamboo Create problem -no pen pressure

I've tried everything and the only program that my Create's pen pressure works on is ArtRage Pro. CS5, MyPaint and Painter12 doesn't sense the different pen pressures. I may as well be drawing with a mouse. Any suggestions?

    I'm using Windows7 btw

Default Double Click and Pen pressure problem-solver for BAMBOO!

First download the latest drivers from the wacom website.
And update the essential Drivers for your PC as well!

Go to control Panel > Pen & Touch>Pen Options>Pen Actions>Pen & hold and then click "settings"!

uncheck Enable press and hold for right-clicking and click OK
    !

Windows Tablet PC settings are fighting with the tablet’s usefulness, doing their best to turn it into a primary input device rather than a dedicated drawing instrument. In my specific case, you’ll notice that every time you tap the pen and start drawing (interpreted by Windows as a “tap and hold”), a circle will start drawing around the tap location, and once it finishes drawing, the equivalent of a right-click is received. This is not a Wacom thing; it’s a Windows thing, and it’s messing with your ability to use your pen with proper pressure sensitivity.

So some people also call it a Bug with Bamboo Tablets, But actually it's not!

Did you installed the latest Mobo drivers, Video Drivers etc?
Can you explain more about your problems....What Bamboo Drivers, It's your new Bamboo Tablet or Old One?
When Did the problem started?Bamboo Model?
Just Check it in your friends PC (for rectification)?

Regarding pressure sensitivity: Photoshop on Windows gets the pressure data from the tablet through the 'wintab' interface. There should be a wintab32.dll in SYSTEM32 and another one in SYSWOW64. On start Photoshop looks for that in order to detect the tablet and the available features.

If that does not happen, uninstall the driver, manually search and delete these files, then reinstall the driver in order to make sure that the correct files are installed.

it's the new Bamboo Create. just bought it. i installed the latest drivers for it which were released in october 2011. sometimes the driver software gets stuck in the loading screen and i have to start over. i dont get it. wintab32dll is present. what are mobo drivers?

the problem is that in cs5, painter12 and mypaint the pen pressure is not adjustable to how mush force i put on the tablet. no matter how light my touch is with the pen, i get 100% opacity. it's like drawing with the right-click button on a mouse.

Mother-Board Drivers(Update to the Latest version Provided By the manufacturer)!
Get the latest Direct X and Net Framework as well!

Painter and Photoshop gets pressure sensitivity with Wintab!
So when you delete the Wacom Drivers do you still find them in the System folder?

Check your Bamboo on someone's PC , for rectification of the Hardware provided by Wacom!

Hi. I have the same problem with my Bamboo Pen. Could you give me more details on what you did exactly to make it work? I've updated my mobo and intalled the PenTablet_5.2.5-5a driver but there's still no pen pressure recognition in PS or Painter. I'm really stumped.

My advice is to plug in the tablet before starting your software - many programs don't do well with the tablet if you plug it in after starting them; they behave as if you're just using a mouse and clicking. I hope that helps someone

Yes, I know. I always plug the tablet first. I have another, older one and it works fine. I tried Bamboo on two diffferent PC and none of them supports pen pressure on that tablet. It's strange that a company like Wacom can't deliver proper drivers for a quite new device. And it's not like Windows 7 is a very fresh OS that needs more trials for funcionality. Now I have a useles pointer thingy for 80$

Please check the above checklist(All versions of latest Framework,Direct X,Video drivers,etc)..And make sure you check the Wintab32.dll file..

Most of the time the above things will solve most of the problems but if it's still there then provide me with more info...
Which Bamboo model are you using? When did the actual problem started?

Hello again Well, I have another idea. Sometimes my tablet also decides to act interesting and here's what solves the problem...
Look for the bamboo folder in the start menu - there you'll find something called "Bamboo preference file utility". It's pretty straightforward - you can back up your tablet settings, remove yours (there is also the option to remove all user settings - this resets everything to defaults) or load old settings from a backup file. Backup if you have any custom settings, reset the settings and who knows
