10-27-2012, 08:15 AM
I'm part of the Concept Creation Club in Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, CA and the club has passionate members who wish to learn more about concept art, the field/industry, and art in general. The club has several members working on games, graphic design projects, and other misc. side/personal work. We have been working with the Cal Poly Game Development Club, LAES(Liberal Arts and Engineering Studies Program), and the Cal Poly art department to bring students together across different majors. The teachers, staff, and students are willing to learn more about the concept art field that is just starting to find its way into the curriculum.
The head of LAES, David Gillete, has informed us that LAES is willing to pay all expenses for a speaker to come and visit: lodging, travel, etc.
Some of the fields/subjects we are interested in are movies, games, advertising, conceptualizing ideas, innovative graphic systems, artwork styles, techniques, futures of different industries, programming.
We are open to lectures, demos, Q&A, workshops, and portfolio reviews and we have a very flexible schedule for when speakers can come.
Your event would be open and advertised to all Cal Poly students and staff to attend.
If you are interested in being a part of this Cal Poly cause, then please message me. Thank you!
