Default WIP I'm still pushing around this idea, I wanted some opinions.

I like the idea very much I think the only thing is the helmet i really like the design but i think it doesn't work very well bcuz he can't actually see the dragon and kinda loss some of the power of the confrontation, same for the dragon maybe turn his head in some way that it look more directly to the man, you know intense eyes to eyes, hope it helped (:
      best regards!

The figure and his surrounding environment looks great but the join between the dragons neck/shoulder/arm looks a bit weak. The head is beautifully rendered so I think if you can correct that its going to look amazing,

I like the piece so far.
I agree with yakuza though that the arm needs some work.
It conflicts a bit with the body. Since the arm feels closer it should be more rendered than the body.

There is one more detail that I keep getting stuck on. That's the angle of the head. When I see it, my brain tells me that it's drawn almost as a perfect profile. The lighting as it is suggests that as well. And that makes the further away part of the inner jaw seems almost added as a second thought. The easiest way to fix it would just be to add another line under the eye. To make the head seem more twisted (since it is). And maybe just move some of the highligts.

Just my humble opinions! ^^ You are way ahead of me in the art department, but a fresh pair of eyes might always give you some input.
          Kthx. ^^

That's why I seek out critiques. All it takes is the attitude to help and some artistic knowledge.

            Thanks everyone.

              Wow, that's looking beautiful.

The only thing that is really bugging me is the odd position of the dragon. His body awkward position is stealing the attention from the focal point.

Maybe you could make the head come from a dragon right in front of us, and the body be of another dragon. You know, addind two dragons on the scene will add more tension and you won't have to undo much of the rendering and stuff like that =).

              I hope I've helped.

You did a great job in there with this dragon head rendering (y) cheers!

Also i don't know if you thinking about adding the dragons tail front of everything and point a important direction, it could be great!

And changing the helmet or give him a sight with no eyes power and shows that with a simple way can work very well in this scene!

Sorry about my poor English, i hope i can help with your awesome work

Thanks everyone. I decided to scrap this image and approach it from a completely different angle. Here's the final-->

Awesome change of art direction!! Love it! The subjects are really nice, and the background as well, the atmospheric perspective on the background works so good in this piece. Keep it up.

The first one is already awesome but you did better on the second one. Absolutely cool
