Hey guys,

Finally got around to working on mine a bit more.

@Metallicfire0 - I really dig the concept. I also think the composition is strong. It shows what it's made of clearly and leads the eye to the body. I find it works very well together.

@Ndy - It's dark, but I am not sure how dark it really should be. It's not too dark that I can't tell what's going on. It looks like some blacks are being used.. I can't say for certain. I almost never touch a pure black or pure white.. but it could just be the darkness on my monitor too. Best to put a bit of color in it. I like the red on the second wip. It brings a bit more color and contrast to the image.

@Griffgraph - Cool start. I think it'd be cool if you tried some really bright or contrasty colors.. the red is awesome but I am curious as to what it might look like if there was a bit of a glow under the surface of the skin... like.. bioluminesence. I think the vampire squid has something like that going on.

@Ishtar - A neat concept. We haven't seen any translucent creatures on here and they can be a pain to paint. Looks very deep sea.. it would be cool to have some white flecks floating in the scene as a finishing touch (when you decide you're done). A lot of skin flakes and other bits of debris float to the bottom of the ocean. It's really cool.

@Rhazza - Very cool ambience you have going on here. It's almost alien. I also enjoy the contrasting color. The textures are a bit distracting so far. Very sweet design. Feels very cold and isolated. Love it!

@Sbapstien - Really digging the color choices here. The different mixtures of blues are great. Maybe a bit of red or orange int he eyes or some of the skin (feint though) would look really cool.

@Krietsch - I like your first monster, although I think something is off regarding the anatomy for the head/neck area. I really like the design idea though.

@Didzis - I really like this one too. It feels so.. old school. Like 50s pulp.. I dunno. I like it a lot. The light source is very dramatic. The monster reminds me so much of a mesosaur.

@rob_powell - Kick ass wip. The light source is really strong, as is the glowing bits on the creature. The composition - so far- is tight and confined but I think it works.

@fabianguiza - I freaking love the pistol shrimp. I forget, but I think the moment the pincers snap they super heat. They're known for breaking fish tanks and stuff too. Such a cool creature and a very good idea for the bloop. I think that the composition needs a bit of work. The shrimp is definitely the focal, but there's no direction or components to draw the eye to it. I think the idea is sweet.. but the composition needs a bit of focus. What is the first thing you want to look at? What's the story it's telling? If the shrimp is the focal maybe it should be a bit bigger? Hope that helps, but If I am not clear let me know.

    Default Red light

I'm working only on the lights. Following the suggestions of Amadarien (thank you dude) I choose the red light solution. I pumped the red light for giving more contrast at the creature and enlighten the sank ship. A little red is added at the bottom of the beast for a better vision of the creature's body and lowering the darkness level. Red highlights on the sharks.

Guys I think that the level of the paintings here is very high. Congrats to all of you!

        Default Bloop Update

        Update.

@rhazza - Colors are amazing. Plus, the tentacles and its interaction with the ground make it look devastating.
@Sbapstien - Composition looks really nice and the tiny whales are a great touch.
@rob_powell - I actually don't think it needs to be cropped. All the darkness really adds to its sinister and mysterious nature. I might actually even increase the top and left an inch.

Hi all. To start saw very good designs. This is as far as it went.
          On the other hand:

@ Ishtar: good design idea, perhaps difficult to translate. Thank you very much for the compliments on the illustrations.

@ Amadarien: good job. Good design, idea, color palette.

@ Scorge: good detail in the creature's mouth. This is what I like the design more ...

@ Juannovelletto: very good way to represent the creature. Good posture. There are some very good design.
