After discussing the matter with tobz, we both agreed that it'd best if we gave an extra week so we can see some more entries.
So the new extended deadline is for August 11th 12:00 pm EST!

my attempt, although I feel it has a weird book cover look to it,I kinda like where its going.
Went with the inclusion of the Xenomorph, bit of hype for the fans in this poster! ha ha

will change a few bits before its finished.

@Ghostbrush: Great entry! I love the Xenomorph addition looking forward to seeing it finished! I think it gives the book cover feeling because Movie posters usually have some more text bellow the title, credits and legal text and stuff, maybe adding those will give the overall feeling of it being a movie poster

I thought to go the xeno way and played with the creation of them

          here are some wip stages:

@Ghostbrush: yes! I want to see the finished piece!
but (attention: crit on a high level you could ignore it^^) in my opinion you should watch your typography, the picture behind your first line is just noise and make the white font harder to read and it strains the eye, maybe shrink the pic and the typo separately and look if the space fits better

@vnmribaya similar typography advice like above

all in all its an illustration challenge and not a typo challenge but I think that the space for text should kept in mind for posters, covers and such stuff

ahh to much typo blabla in the end, sorry

Indeed, the golden ratio is kind of a universal guide for composition, I believe the newer versions of Photoshop include a grid with the Golden Ratio and other useful guides for compositions.

Sorry for the huge delay on the new challenge, guys, It'll be up today, I promise, both Tobz and I have been extremely busy as of lately.

I apologize for being so late on posting the new challenge but I hope it'll be great fun for everyone
