hi everyone

im looking to get into cg animation in particular i want to create cinematic trailers for games or cg for films with the hope of working on my own animated film one day...problem is im confused with the software i know ill need maya to animate everything but do i need to use and learn other software to create cut scenes, movies etc?

any help will be most helpful
