critiques and suggestions welcome and appreciated.

I want to have her halting his progress with her left hand as they stop to listen for guards patrolling the area below. Low lighting probably torch lit or wall mounted oil lamps.

All kinds of issues im still working on from anatomy, perspective, depth, value etc... very much a work in progress

I feel like her hand is two low if you want the impression that's shes telling him to halt. I think her hand should be about chest height. But good job so far, i like the colors so far. also looking at it i think hes eyes look a little off looking at the camera

Thank you for the critique, I will try it out with her hand at chest level and refocus his gaze with a similar focal point as hers. I appreciate the comments very much seavvolf!

What do you think of an arm position like that - I figure that will also require reposing him a little.

That looks a bit more natural but i think her is to straight, try to imagen the scene in 3d and how far apart they are. They don't really look more than a foot or so apart so try to think how the arm would bend to place her hand on or near his chest. Also I noticed her chest was a little to low and her eyes looked a little off. I attempted a paint over to kinda show what i mean, please forgive the crudeness, I'm no professional but just to help give you an idea of what i mean.
