Man this sketchbook is something else! You have some really cool colors and ideas it seems however, your pictures seems really dense and color intensive which makes it hard for me to really distinct the different elements from each other. I don't want to take your special style out of the images, but maybe experimenting a bit with hues in you sketches could help you to force the viewers focus on the important elements of your images more. I don't know, but good luck nonetheless, I'll look forward to your updates

Thanks a lot for feedback. Glad you find my sketchbook original. I usually work "straight from the tube" (albeit digitally) so my images are often over-saturated until i postadjust them (only happens with the 1% I actually finish though)

I'm aware that many of my images would benefit from more mass and less...abstract-ish mess. I believe I'm slowly moving in that direction. I'll probably find the beauty of simplicity in another 50 years...

Luckily the journey is what matters the most, the wise ones say

Your abstraction is really interesting, but it does get a little confusing with so much to look at. Sometimes less is more my friend. Try doing a limited number of paint strokes and see what you can get. Nathan Fowkes has a rule about doing about 20 strokes for his landscape and other watercolor paintings. Despite being so simple, it communicates a lot! Know what your brush is going to do before you let it touch the canvas.

Ah excuse my babbling. This sketchbook is truly one of a kind, keep it going and keep exploring!

Thanks a lot for feedback. Will definitely check out the painter you mention.

Yes, I'm currently working on making relationships between main values clearer using bigger brushes. Here's todays update of a seascape I'm painting:

Trying to focus on mass and color temperatures, I'm laying this colourflul foundation for my revised version of a fantasy environment:

                        Hey mindbender,

Nice updates, I definitely feels your variations in brush size adds depth to your images and helps to break them up a bit

                        Looking forward to your updates!

Todays update on a 3-color landscape where I try to apply some temperature variation inspired by a John Martin landscape. Have a great weekend
