Narrowed down my designs to two, I feel like doing a portrait orientation either way.
    Some feedback for others:

@Papaya_Pig Nice sketch, really feels like a cave and the water looks great. I'm not seeing the batman theme yet though.

@AlexTLe Good sense of depth and nice framing by the rocks. Seems like you've lost some of the texture and color from your initial sketch.

@Patrik_P I like it so far, good focus on the pedestal. I think some color could do you good though, even if its just a little bit.

@docslave i realized that so im kind of redoing it, starting from the first WIP. I really like both of yours, its rare seeing vertical paintings rather than horizontal.

Here is an update, I probably will have to end it here unless I get some free time at the end. I've had a commission come in so that obviously takes priority!

It's the first time I've tried adding colour on top of greyscale, I'm not sure how well it went really. What do you guys think? The batman logo is copied from google cause I couldn't remember how it looked *fp*

Oh and also, the contrast on my computer screen is at about 67%. Should that be at the max? When I turn it up I can actually discern between the blacks and greys.

          Heres another update.
I decided to have a go with the exterior one and altering the composition, I agree with you Papaya_Pig about the composition being better in the interior at that point. I might still pick it up.

          @ AlexTLe
          Looking forward to see it!

          @ docslave
Thats some intensive contrast you have going on! I think I like the left one the most. The idea in the right one is cool, but its really dark, maybe zooming in on one of the platforms a bit more to bring them in focus? I don't know, but I'm looking forward to seeing your progress.

          @ Papaya_Pig
I think you did a fine job on the coloring, I myself am an idiot when it comes to that, so I can't really contribute with anything. The same goes for your question about contrast, I have absolutely no idea! And grats on the commision

@AlexTLe The perspective on your computer is off, I did a quick overpaint to illustrate this. Should be fairly easy to fix with transforms. Nice scene otherwise, I like the lit smoke/dust thing going on at the top.

@andreasbech Thanks! I see we've gone for the same colour scheme too, your colouring looks great! Looking forward to seeing the end !
@AlexTLe Looking good too with the colours, the perspective is a little off but I think docslav got that for you. I'm not to great at perspective myself either to be honest!

@docslave thank you so much! I have a lot of problems with perspective because im a newbie artist.

@htkpeh all of them are nice, dont know which one to go for though.

                    Well....time to fix my painting!

                        Hi

I want to try this challenge ! Many good ideas and wips going on here. Here is my first step :

I am looking for a giant batcave but i want to show the gothic style of the architecture here. To me, the old fashioned world and technology mix is the most important definition of the batcave. If you have any advices, tips for brushes, textures light etc... go on

@docslav : I like your second proposition but also enjoy seeing the batcave turning into a pit of lights !

@andreasbech : Cool idea to show the exterior of the cave but i think you should add some distinctive sign of batman out there. Like some shape of the logo,an electronic device somewhere to show that it's not just a natural cave...or show the Wayne's manor somewhere far away to set the theme ^^

@htkpeh : I prefer the second one even if the right side is more interesting (to me) like if you had two pictures in one.

@ rhazza: i prefer the second too
,i like your gothic style idea-works perfect with the batman theme

i tried something with but its not what i want to achieve

                            Thanks Htkpeh !

If you are having a little trouble with composition (or else) maybe you should seek inspiration in some master's work Check the "Piranesi prison series" on google.
I think it can help both of us and many people for the challenge too !

The sketches of Piranesi were also used as an inspiration for Hellboy background.

Sorry guys, im backing out of this challenge. Im just having a lot of problems with choosing what genre/style of art i should concentrate on and imporve rather than multitasking.

                              PEACE OUT!

                              -added some textures
