3D Creature Planets # 18: Creatures of Pandora Finals and Voting

Semi aquatic seaside glider that hunts for fish. It can surf the waves and ascend the cliff sides upon thermals generated by the waves.

Here's my turntable, close up, and beauty shot. Did not go as detailed as i could of, instead i focused on the overall look of my creature. Plus i need a new computer and my rendering engine was not working so i had to do all my rendering in mudbox, but its been fun. So this is Lava Beast, a predator that lives in the volcanic region of pandora, obviously, and rarely bonded with the navi. I gave him armour to help protect him from fatal burns when laying down and made sure his body was held higher off the ground than the forest creatures so as to be farther away from warm ground. Can't wait to see everyone else finish!
