    Default Lawrence Mayfield's Sketchbook

    First project. 100 heads.

Im trying to get better, but it doesnt seem to be working. Every head looks just as awful as the previous. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you don't mind me saying ,you seem to be making the eyes and mouth fairly large, and squishing them into the bottom of the face, making to features look a little off. Some of them look better, but it seems to dominate the sketches.

No problem, 54 doesn't look squished it's much nicer. Also remember that eyes are roughly an eye length apart from each other.

Yeah, right now Im still trying to figure out how to build the head. Im using all the the measuring rules, but Ive had a few different ones and I need to figure out which one allows me to see them properly. Im hoping Ill get it, hence the purpose of this exercise.
