Hey, all. My name is Rob and I'm a concept student in the southern California area. I've been a long time lurker and fan of cghub and all the inspiring work I come across here, so I figure it's time to join in and get involved a bit.

I'll get things started with some older work from last semester and then get caught up pretty quickly.

Comments and crits always welcome, and much appreciated!

Here's some more recent stuff from a personal project and a piece I did for a character design contest.

A little swamped with classes but hopefully I'll have new stuff to show soon!

Stacy, what's up! I heard you guys were diggin Drive haha. I saw it with the girlfriend a week ago--was awesome! Thanks and I'll catch you guys around sometime soon for sure.

Kherns, kind words man. California is a great place to be as an artist. Honestly, I'm not too happy with school but if you work hard none of that shit matters.

jennifereasley, yeah I enjoy doing it all but I'm feelng like I need to decide on an area of focus soon. Kinda stressful to think about haha. Anyways, thanks!

Here's a recent assignment, 60 thumbnails using various methods. Theme was a sci-fi ranger using an experimental weapon.

Here's a recent bunch of photo studies, half using an opaque brush and half using transparency.

Haha yeah, Drive's too awesome! I'm not one for gore but it was beautifully done. Is Shut Up and Sketch still going on? I've been working Wednesdays lately but I have this upcoming one off.

Waaah, such cool assignments you have and the way you execute them! You'll be getting noticed in no time. Keep up with the hard work and please do keep sharing.

Whoooaa it's been a while. Right after my last update I was offered a job at High Moon Studios, dropped out of school, and moved all within a week or so. Life has been hectic (and awesome), but I've been aching to start getting more personal work out there again. Here's some stuff I've been picking at whenever I have a minute to spare.

Too kind, Amaakir! My new portfolio is lacking current environment work so I'll be cranking on that for the next few months. I'll be making a conscious effort to keep this thread updated.
