Default Suggestions for Getting Art Done for Kickstarter Board/Card Game

I am an independant game designer, looking to get a Kickstarter going for a card game I have been designing. Last game I designed, my friends and family did all of the artwork and it turned out ok, but not as fantastic as is required by a game. This will be the first game I have produced for which I will need to comission artwork, but I have hit a sort of conundrum.
A good Kickstarter project already has a massive amount of artwork and images involved with it and I don't have any spare cash to hire anyone until after the Kickstarter project funds. I want to try to get at least semi-professional artists and professional quality artwork. I have no idea how to go about contacting artists for this kind of work, nor does it seem that any artist that is any good is willing or interested in this kind of work.

Does anyone here have any suggestions?

    Thanks,
