Awesome work so far everyone!

I'll be back later to make comments.

As for walking on two limbs - keep it "chimp-like" if you can in terms of movement. The creature spans long distances on four limbs but is capable to move around on two as well if needed.

Hope that clears things up!

My piece is almost done, will be posted to the finals either saturday or sunday however...

In the mean time here are some last minute(sort of) crits!

SuperJMan: Very cool looking environment, but I'd like to see the focus pushed towards the creature, since this is a creature creation contest, right now my focus goes to the central moon first then the creature second based on the composition. You know it could be a good idea if you add a second creature closer to the foreground on the right, possibly with more of a profile view of the head.

Zanga_kid: I know this is your final, but I feel like this guy would look better if it were hunched a bit more. I'd also indicate it's other arm, whenever you hide certain body parts it kinda looks lazy. Also push the red on it's feet a bit more since that's a very improtant part of the breif.

Robobobo: Looks pretty cool man! The eye on it's shoulder is pretty cool, although seeing as this guy is more of a charger type creature the eye's on his shoulders will be very vulnerable during a charge. I hope you will use this extra time to add more colour to it.

Canaan: Looks promising! I can picture a nice fleshy throat sac, possibly use for storage or displays for mating or aggression, although that may not be your intention it could be a cool idea. It's forearms atm are looking quite stiff, see if you can find some reference image of animals in similar poses to get a better idea of how to handle it.

thenightseeker: Not bad for a beginner. Keep working at it, at this point the only way to go is up!! Remember use lots of references when your troubled with something in your work. Does it have five legs? Remember in Brynn's description the creature is supposed to have four limbs.

mayanew: Looking good so far. I think some of your other thmbs were showed a bit more promise though. Don't be afraid to experiment a bit while you paint, look for some 'happy accidents' as some people call it. Also the shoulders look a little bit awkward, normally there would be more chest in between the scapulae to add a more strength to the creature. Remember there are a few muscles on the torso that connect to the humerus

thazarus: Nice lil tapir like critter, I'm a bit confused by the forms on his head however. I'd also recommend referencing some anatomy, like the tapir for example and even other bulky quadrupeds like the rhino or hippo.

Hey guys this is my first go at the creature forge hope I can make it interesting because it looks like fun. really appreciate any crits and comments. for this one Im gonna try and blend a fox with a billy goat.
