    Exclamation Blogger or Wordpress?

    Which site is better in the long run for a professional portfolio website?

    I'm setting up my website and I'm torn between wordpress. Blogger is a little easier to understand but Google owns your blog, does that mean your images as well?

    Or Wordpress, which you own, but is a little more complicated. In your opinion, what do you think?

    And if you don't use either one of these sites, then what do you use?

      It really depends on what you want to do.

      Blogger is easy for sure but constrains you to their system in many ways. Wordpress is capable of pretty much anything if you have the technical know how.

      If you are content with your site not being unique, you can create a very appealing site with Wordpress without much complexity at all.

      I'd say blogger is for your fun personal blog. Wordpress is better suited for a professional presence.

        I prefer Wordpress,it is more suitable for your professional portfolio website,although Blogger is easy to use,but I always think the contents on it are tanglesome.
        Maybe you will get used to Wordpress soon.

            Hi! i was using blogger long time...but then started using Wordpress - its surely better for such things! my choice!

              Okay, I'll corse ahead with wordpress. Now here's my next question: so I buy a server space at DreamHost and then do I just load my blog onto there? Or set it up? I'm really confused on how to buy space and get it started so that I can start messing around with it!
