    Default Akerman's sketchbook

    Hey guys!

I got so inspired by all the awesome sketchbooks in here, I thought it could be cool to start something up where I can put my small random doodles and studies and stuff.

So - no more yappin' - here's the first batch of things, and I'm always on the lookout for good constructive criticism and tips!

Very impressive work! You've got a great handle on environments and rendering in general. Keep it up, I can't wait to see more!

My small contribution over at ca.org's Creature of the Week challenge.
I've never been much of a participator of these things, but I'm noticing it is rather relaxing to be given a topic to riff on =)

I had a lot of fun thinking about the anatomy and stuff on this one.

Great stuff indeed! That cloud painting is especially amazing. And your creature of the week is badass as well. More!

kevin- & LongJh - Thanks guys!

Here's some more stuff, a bit of a mix of studies and regular sketches.
The smudge-y sunny landscape is me trying to figure out how to use the smudge brush by looking at the incrediebly talented Tom Scholes and Bumskee, but not necessarily reaching their quality

Very nice sketchbook, love the colours and your lighting. I can't really offer much more feedback then that at this point, but I can say I'd love to see more from you!

Wow, I absolutely love everything you have shown in this sketchbook and when you post more artwork I will say the same thing over and over again. Not very helpful critique wise, but that is what happens when you are awesome.

Thanks for sharing and I can't wait to see more from you!

Ugh, I'm so shit at updating.

Blindrat, Mrscribbles, TwoDD, rob_powell, MeTaL-mike - Thanks so much, it means alot!

Here's something I did today. It's currently 31.5 degrees celsius in the house - longing a bit for winter!
