    Hi guys,
it might sound boring but I really enjoy anatomicae challenges that focuses on traditional - even academical - human anatomy/virtual life drawing studies.

I prefer human anatomy (since I never seem to find/take enough time to really nailing that on my own), but animal anatomy is great practice also.

Traditional anatomy studies and even master studies, that's my cup of tea at the moment and what will make a challenge really hard to resist.

Perhaps rendering the human figure in styles of various -isms/artists would be a fun and good practice for some future challenges?

Thanks for running the challenges, have fond memories of the ones I've participated in and looking forward to taking part in many more...

    Those are some great suggestions.
Blindrat, about having a sub forum to study human anatomy, I'm afraid that there's allready a forum in the 2D corner where people can have their own threads and do studies, etc. and receive feedback.

However, your suggestions are pretty sweet. As I've mentioned since I was appointed to handle the Anatomicae challenges, I'll be handling these challenges in rounds, starting with human anatomy, then art basics or free study, then Animal studies, then Fantasy Anatomy and back to human and so on.

So, in case of something extraordinary coming in the way, the next challenge will be Animal, and the next one will be more focused to Fantasy Anatomy. I'm doing it this way because I believe it can serve to different interests and can make the challenges attractive to different artist profiles at the same time.

I would like to know how you guys think about this to continue implementing it in the future or not.

As for the moment, I'll definitely use one of Blindrats suggestions for the next art basics / free study and will continue along with some Animal Anatomy.
Also *Spoiler Alert* something reaaal good is on its way...

      Sounds great, Amaakir.
It's always wise to have a plan and your seems really logical (and fun!).

Looking forward to seeing which challenging beasts you'll throw at us in this glorious artistic arena...

By the way, the reason I didn't join the "Oblivion" one is that I'm already working on two different game art environment pieces at the moment, a third would be too much of a good thing

It's allright, mindbender, I hope we can see you for the next challenge
BTW, I've been thinking of a "Study a Master" challenge. Maybe we could try that after we use one of Blindrats ideas

Ooo, master study, that sounds like a great one for this challenge.

I was thinking it could be cool to occasionally have a prompt that encourages people to draw and paint from life by using common subjects that are easily accessible (ie a stack of books, silverware, fruit, a shoe, etc) since working from life is such a great way to learn. Also - self-portraits.

And I just wanted to say - thanks for picking up this challenge and keeping it alive! I think it's great that we have an activity that encourages people to do studies.

@Dierat: Thank you for your kind words Yeah, I've been busy trying to make the Anatomicae as busy and interesting as ever. I've hold true to my original plan on doing a cycle of different themed challenges to keep the Anatomicae open for a wide variety of interests.
But I do agree with you on the life studies and will soon take on that subject for a challenge
Thanks for your feedback, it always encourages me to know what you all guys think about the Anatomicae challenges for they are done for you

Oh another one I just thought of is a perspective challenge. You could require the submission of both the perspective sketch (with the vanishing points and horizon line marked) and the 'finished' version, and either leave it open or specify a certain type of architecture (ie castle) or require certain elements be visible in the scene (like steps, arches, etc).
