Carl is a very strong, smart, and muscly nice man. If you have any hesitation about taking his class I highly recommend taking it.

Thumbs up endorsement of night class

I attended the night sessions--Mon/Weds figure drawing/painting--for approx a year and I can't recommend highly enough. I learned a ton from Carl and my figure drawing and painting skills improved dramatically. Actually I benefited in all areas, including still life. One reason: I am impatient and prone to move around to different areas of a painting, wanting to see quick results. From Carl I learned the benefits of settling into one area to enjoy the process of really getting it right, turning form in a convincing way before moving on. Although it can sometimes feel slow, I've found that this actually saves time in the long run because it's more efficient....you can get it right the first time (at least closer to right). -D

I'd like to thank the talented Mr. Kemp Remillard for heading up that round on the concept class. It was a real blast to see new takes on the klassiker movie Running Man. I would also like to congratulate Dawn Carlos and Artem Mirskov who have recently completed the program and are now gainfully employed. You already deeeed it!!!!!

Also, for any of you who are interested in the full time program, there are a couple spots open starting in October. If you'd like more info, check out the website at www.thesafehouseatelier.com or if you'd like to apply send an email to thesafehouseatelier@gmail.com. I will also be doing lectures and demos at the upcoming MassiveBlack workshop. For those of you who are interested in checking that out go to
              http://massiveblack.com/workshopsf/
