Taking a break from furniture and re-working an old character model, because I feel that I can never get a model completely done! Always have to poke and adjust and start over! Still Have texturing to complete as well as wireframe adjustments and UV adjustments. Oh Joy!

Back to the furniture. Finished up a nightstand with clock and lamp, also got around to a wall tile set.

Played around with lighting a bit. Also tweaked the blanket and pillow some to try and alleviate the stiffness factor.

Went with a wood floor suggestion. Maybe too much wood?
Might try a wood frame with stones as an alternative when I get a chance.

i like the floor, but the scaling looks wrong -> wrong proportions. i guess you should scale them up to get a more rustic look.

for the lighting, what is your key light? its feels to even at the moment.

Working on the floor still. Bumped the wood planks to 6" boards over the 2". Also tried a stone tile with wood framed floor.

Darkened the wood on the furniture Might be a bit too dark?

Putting lighting on the back-burner to get modeling done, as I can spend hours making teaks to lighting!

Flopped back to the head model. Narrowed the mouth and brought the ears forward on the head. Re-UV'ed and re-textured too.

Been enjoying the new Legend of Korra.

Found a character sheet and thought I would attempt a model. Its hard to do a face of this style in 3D, may have to take another pass.

These Legend of Korra episodes keep getting better and better!

I tweaked her face among other things as well as finished details of her water tribe clothing. I'm much happier with it than I was before. I want to take another shot at her hair though. Maybe try out the hair and fur plugin for the wrap and boots.

Wow that was a quick and action packed season of Legend of Korra! Looking forward to the next season.

Anyway more tweaks to the model and new hair. The hair and fur plugin utterly failed to light correctly out of mental ray, so I ended up using alpha mapped planes to get the hair effect. It looks a bit rough. I tried applying the same technique to the wrap and boots but was not happy with the results. Maybe for the next update. That or rigging and a short animation.

Any comments are welcome Thanks for watching!

Like the woods in the bedroom, but the pillow seems like a stone,it is not very realistic.
