    Default Elvish Boat WIP

Hi everyone! I'm new on this forum and relatively new to digital art.

I'd really appreciate your comments and critique on this WIP.

Beautiful Color composition and Very Fantasy like feel.
But i would always suggest not to go that far in the first Wip and draw a basic B&W to just have an idea about perspective and composition..
Work on perspective and try to get as many references as you can and try to see the highlights, mid-tones and shadows and try to implement those things in your work..

There seems to be a lack of visual depth between the trees that are close and the trees that are farther away.

And the values inside the boat do not seem convincing.

In a nutshell I think the biggest thing that could be done is to add fill light to the shadows, and taking into account atmospheric perspective (which is exaggerated pretty wildly in my PO).

Ekarnopp, many thanks: I really struggle with perspective to my great disappointment! I will try to follow your advice.

Also, could I ask what tool you used to modify the shape of the boat so easily? Is it warp?

Zentrope, thank you. I didn't realise the first WIP should be more basic. I didn't start in black and white but in colour straight away. I will keep it in mind for future.

Yes, the perspective is one of my weak points! I'd love a lesson

                Moving objects around:

                Lasso around shape(L)
                Right click>Feather: radius ~5-10
                Edit:copy merged
                Paste
Right click: Free Transform, hold CTRL at anchor points to drag around independently
