Being a huge MMA fan, I couldn't resist to enter this challenge. Here's a WIP:

I picked Nate Diaz for my entry.

I have a question...
I'm not clear on what is meant by, or the meaning of a beauty render for this project...does that mean an image with shadows, background,..in an enviroment,...maybe hitting another fighter?
I am planning on incorporating my model into a painting of a fighting scene in the end... So I am wondering ..should I go ahead and make a finished in the ring action fighting scene for this challenge, or do you just want the single figure standing in a fighting pose for this challenge project.

SpiritDreamer : Hi, beauty shot means a render in which you can present your model at the best . the only difference here is that the beauty shot is required in clay/greyshade mode only. No texturing is required. however you can freely add a diorama or other visual elements to make your model look better. but all has to be presented without the textures.

Thanks Sanketpro3d..I wasn't sure if I was going in the right direction with this figure , and thought I had better ask before I went any further.
Anyway,...This will be my last wip post..still need to do some toes and a few other details.
Now I can start thinking of the whole scene that I want for him as the finale image.

Update 2 finds me deep in the valley of the suck, but I think things will work out.

SpiritDreamer : I hope you got an idea about the beauty render. Well as u said that you already posted your last WIP, i would suggest to work more precisely on the model with more clear forms and anatomy as well,and please post more turnarounds of the face, so that one can look straight in Kimbo's eyes.

omialmighty : Nice start Omi. The skull should be more broad i think as per the reference profile for JON JONES. Keep going

SpiritDreamer : No not at all man, we all are here to share the constructive updates

. As far as face is concerned, I would suggest to work more on anatomical forms while keeping the likeliness in mind. thnx for posting the turnarounds though.

I'll for sure sharpen up the anatomy part of this figure as I go along.
For this post, i'm starting to get the light in place for the final scene that i'll be going for...Going for a Dynamic light and shade type of scene...Burne Hogart style and inspiration.
