I am looking for a freelance artist to work (paid) on character concepts and stylizations for a short animated film.

Style - Not photo-real, the characters are caricatures of normal people both in their build and their actions. Final film can have either a 2d or 3d style, whichever is more effective for the production, and telling the story.

Drama - The story has funny moments, but it’s not a comedy. Some of the characters are down-trodden, while others are heartless. So the style should be able to portray these aspects.

Quirky - The majority of the film shows the day to day life of an 'average-Joe' character (home, work, park with family, etc), so the style should be quirky and interesting even in normal shots. There are some surreal moments (with FX) and that must integrate well with the style.

Deliverable – 2-3 color concepts of a character (or characters) in a background with lighting that conveys a mood compatible with the stories style. Print resolution with source files.

Other details:
Locations (city, subway, park, apartment, office, etc)
Characters (Bill, daughter, boss, ex-wife, birds, and secondary characters)
FX (floor falling, lighting FX, particles dispersing)
There is dialog (voice over) and Musical score.
