Hello, i am new here and I am looking to find a freelance artist that is available for work.

However i was not sure on the best way to find someone so i figured i would post here. If this is the wrong area or there is a better way to find a suitable freelance artist, please let me know, as i would really appreciate it.

Basic Info:
I am looking for someone to design a site intro style image and a forum banner image for a gaming related organization. Ultimately i would like to have a full forum skin designed as well, using elements from the intro image. However the matching forum skin work, would be a separate project, and is something for a later date once the other work is completed.

Budget & Time:
My budget is approximately $1000.00 USD and I would need the design completed within 1 to 2 months. I am somewhat flexible as i know freelance artists may have other projects going on and i would rather you had ample time to produce a quality piece of artwork.

Artists:
I am not sure exactly what specific type of artist i would need, concept, 3D etc. However someone that has plenty of artistic vision, is capable of designing human characters (soldiers) (This type of style) and a machine type structure with plenty of atmosphere would be ideal.

Contents:
This is where the artistic vision would come in to play. Being able to take my fictional idea's & thoughts, merge & apply there own artistic vision and create something from it. The 2 main components of the image would be a soldier or soldier's and a machine of some kind.

History:
The current website at www.tmclan.net was never specifically designed for the organization but heavily customized by me & used anyway. I have also recently purchased, installed, setup and continue to administer a VBulletin 4.0 Suite and a recently purchased generic default forum skin. The intro image i am looking to have designed would be used instead of the site and the banner image would be used on the forums.

Format:
Ultimately i would like to be able to add special FX to the image using various programs available to me. Photoshop CS5, After Effects CS5, Flash Pro CS5.5, Particle Illusion 3 etc. I also have 3DS Max and Vue 8.5 Infinite depending on what i need at the time. The final image, ideally would contain alpha channels & un-flattened layers compatible with Photoshop.
