    Thumbs up Kuatay's Sketchbook (newbie)

I'm newbie to drawing, really want to get better and i need some advice and critiques (been drawing for a couple of months not so seriously.. until now ). I work for a winery so i don't have much time to practice but i will find as much as i can. Just made myself a mini-sketchbook and lets see if i can use it at work . Ill try to upload some of my traditional and some digital sketches-doodles.

Really would love to hear some advice, critiques, opinions, etc..

ill start with a doodle of a little kid, made it few days ago.

      Default poses

Ok so today's practice.. i'm trying with some basic poses. Am i doing it right?. Not sure about the proportions but it really lacks of movement or something.

got myself some free time to draw... couldn't find some inspiration at work... just some barrels and perspective.

            Talking gogogo

So i got Loomis books, thanks to MrBrown!. Didn't know where to start from.. so i just picked Figure Draw. This is my first practice, the very basic one but i guess the most important. Took me way more time than i though.. even looking at the reference image

Sorry for the bad quality image.

Thanks for the cheers Mr. Brown and Kevin .

I love Loomis books now... at first i got scare of all those elaborate drawings and notes, etc..but its getting easier. It is normal that i automatically count heads for everything (anatomy wise)? lol.

Today's practice.. not all of it, but what i think were the "better" ones!

Today's post!...more manikin draws, getting there slowly.

First ones from Loomis books, lots of mistakes but need to hurry and jump to a more dynamic kind of manikin.

Looking good so far! I enjoy your cartoonie/comic looking dudes (the kid and the great warrior!) but it's always good to work with realistic proportions/anatomy as your building blocks. Great work on sticking to it so much. :]

If you're looking for more reference and want to delve into more digital painting I'd suggest Matt Kohr's CtrlPaint. But he also has some videos on Drawing in general in his Archive's. Hope it helps!!

Thanks JohnSilva and Mogzirra!, ctrlpaint its actually really good!!.. tons of motivation from that guy, thanks for the link .

Been really busy lately, was able to make some manikins on napkins at work , probably ended up in the trash bin

So today i tried to step forward a little bit and start adding some mass to the manikins.. just some basic loomis. Will try yo add more stuff from imagination later.

if you see anything off, weird, etc, please let me know!
