Hi everyone!
My computer is a 2009 imac 21,5". High polycount modelling is fine, but i know it can be better, also rendering time is not possible, took too long.

So i want to buy a new one workstation, with 800/1000�. I, thinking in:
i7 2600
16 gb Ram
Nvidia gtx 560

(screen,mouse,... are secundary).
What do you think?

Looks pretty good but i would suggest rather than the GTX 560 get the GTX 560TI because it's much better for very little price change.

in fact i just bought it with Asus GTX 560 Ti ! Also with a 24" Led screen. Friday...cant wait!

When you buy a component, it's never about one good component but a collective effort of all the parts..
More the core processing power, the faster the rendering will be.

So before proceeding further what kind of software packages you will be installing in that machine?
And what Operating System?

It's good to go with Sandy Bridge if you are going to overclock it in comparison to Ivy bridge processors.
But if you are not going to overclock then you might wanna take a look at Ivy bridge because Ivy bridge have got higher base clocks and also have the latest PCIe 3.0 support(for high calculations transits)..but it also have a higher thermal threshold than the Sandy bridge..So you might have to buy a good cooler or Liquid Cooling solutions.

Get a Mobo which supports Pcie 3.0 and which have a good thermal resistant parts (something like sabertooth from ASUS)

If money is a problem right now then hold other things like Extra Ram or even GPu(as you can buy them later)..
Get a SSD from OCZ, Intel, Corsair etc.. and keep mouse, screen or keyboard on hold for sometime...
