K... so here is an update, based on the feedback I recieved, here and on the luxology forum
Basically just tried to "relax" everything, to get an overall better gesture and emphasize a relationship between the two.
Things I didn't do was change the face too much on the girl, as I didn't really like the face in the concept.. the bulbus lips etc.
I also haven't addressed the wing tips. I plan on it, but will save that stuff for the final pass.
Some of the changes I made were dropping the left (your left looking) shoulder and arm to make it more relaxed and give the sword a sense of weight. Also raised the right shoulder (your right looking) and relaxed the fingers a bit. Udjusted proportions on the girls head, fixed the feet, hands and shins (still a bit to do there yet). I changed the position of the girls hand to rest on the fore arm to try and establish a more loving gesture, to emphasize the relationship between the two etc. Still some things to do, and as far as composition and contrast goes, I'll address that in post. Right now I kind of need the even light to work on the sculpt...
anyway, let me know what you think of the changes...
