Default What Matters Most To Animation Employers?

    Hello,

My name is Brian, and I would like to know what matters most to animation employers? Is it important if the animation school attended is accredited? Is it better to learn animation online or on campus? Any info would be appreciated, Thanks!

The only thing that matters is the "Person" and nothing else...
If you are capable of showing what you can do and not what a paper sheet(Degree) describes..

Attending college is a sure fast track journey to learn the fundamentals..If you are a self taught person then you have to struggle for each and every aspect of learning but you know the worth of it later.
If you prefer to study online then you don't get a chance to interact face-to- face with other like minded people but yeah you can talk on the internet..
    Hope this helps

Thanks for the helpful information, I would also like to know what is a good 3d animation software to start using that is not as complicated as maya and 3Ds max that I could gain a little knowledge before I start going to school. Also I would like a program that is not sooo expensive, and where I can find good tutorials. WHich computers are best suited for animation? Windows or Mac?

      Thanks Again!

It totally depends from person to person...
Every 3D package is a bit complicated but after you know the basic functioning of the software and 3d work process then it becomes easy to switch to other 3d packages.

Blender is an open source 3D package and there are plenty of tutorials at it's official forum...

      Just check the following
      http://cgcookie.com/blender/
      http://www.blenderartists.org/forum/
      http://www.blender.org/

I would say both platforms are good and i am not biased to any one specific...
      Also consider Linux
