Thanks for the compliment. the fur is a very simple process of modelling.
start with a cube in your preferd application then model one strand then duplicate till you have a chunk then copy that chunk, edit it so it appears different and copy those till you have enough difference then its just place and duplicate till you have the desired coverage........then cake.

My incompetence knows no bounds it would seem. After a good nights rest I thought I would go over the files because there were a few subtools that were positioned wrong from the bad transpose files I made, it then turned into a game of wheres waldo as I went.
every time I fixed one I would notice another lol. If you compare these new ones to the old you will see what I'm talking about. I think now I can put this to bed and move on to the next one, and Hey if you catch anything I missed let me know, thanks
