Default I need a serious reevaluation of my artistic skills.

I'm a self taught artist that has been drawing since he was in grade school, but ever since 2005 when I entered college, I've had no art related class since. I'm a computer sci major, so I put my art skills on the hobby wagon. As a result, I don't think my art has improved much. My fundamentals seem skewed as of late and I lack the education of anatomy, color theory, and other such stuff. Even the way I sketch seems so elementary nowadays. I study that stuff when I can, but I think this is one of those cases where I don't have an idea how to learn ontop of my foundation. I have no guidance, so I feel a bit lost. I think at this point I need like some sort of teacher or maybe a list of stuff to study on. I work better with a school-orientated approach.

To be honest, your drawings are really good.

I would say to work on sketching proper anatomy for now, that should be your main concern.

I agree with brandonlj, learn proper anatomy and start using reference for everything. Reference is one of the greatest things you can use to become a better artist.

If you're really serious about improving, you should probably take a break from the fan art. You're copying other artist's styles who purposefully use distorted anatomy. You need to learn the original first, then when you get good you can do your own things with it.
