Malo! Dude of course it's allright, you're always invited to do paintovers if you want to on my artworks! I really never have trouble with paintovers from anyone actually, they help me a lot into finding new ways to solve problems! And you're never late also! I love what you did with your paintover, and if it's okay with you, I really would like to see the psd and take a peek Imm pm you anyways, thnxs a lot for the feedback, mate!

I have uploaded the PSD to my dropbox-thing. Hope the download will work - if not, just drop me a line and I'll try to find a better way

Nice SB! I like how you blend stylisation with a more realistic render style.

I really like the way it turned out, kinda comic book graphic strong impact. I really liked seeing Malo's approach, interesting to see how other artists work and think about problem solving through an image. To be honest I wish there were more paint overs going around peoples sketchbooks. Looking forward to the next pieces mate!

Hey guys! It's been a while...too long if you ask me :P
I've been tremendously busy as of lately and I haven't got the chance to do much (which sucks) but I got some great news!
Remember a few posts ago about a 3 day event taking place on Mexico called the Illustrators Deathmatch? Well, I sent my portfolio to see if I would get picked to be in the deathmatch which would consist in about 40 illustrators from all around Mexico drawing in a live competition.
Well, I got picked I'm really excited, there'll be lots of prizes (Serge Birault is coming so showing off any skills that I have is quite worth the effort!) Anyway, the guys organizing the event have posted a mini-challenge: to illustrate the phrase "If you're gonna shoot. Shoot. Don't talk." So I decided I'm gonna start getting some attention by participating...got till Saturday to get it finished, so I got quite some work to do :P
I started with a quick thumbnail of my idea, I got home really late tonight so I'm gonna leave it as it is for now.

My first idea was to draw a cowboy alligator in a closeup with a smoking gun pointed at the viewer, but I really wanted to try something a little bit different and went for the robot cowboys idea :P
Any C&C's are most welcome, I gotta work fast on this one and time is short! Tomorrow will be a better day :P
          Thanks for reading!

          Hey mate

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you'll get a huge bag of prizes
for the thumb - looks really promising right now. Would love to see some more explorations. I do like the composition so far.
Maybe a good source of inspiration could be "wild wild west (movie)" or an image that I came across while browsing the big bad web
just as an inspiration - link

          so keep it up, mate!
          cheers

Decided to explore some more, as malo suggested, and I'm actually having a lot of fun This is supposed to be due for this Saturday and since I'll be traveling tomorrow for the entire day...I don't think I'll get it in time, but I'll definitely finish it to boost my skills.
Just some basic color blocking, got bored and started adding some shades into the cowboy with a robot arm :P
Any C&C's are very much welcome! Thnxs for reading!
