Alright to get the topic suggestions going here I'll post some up. There is quite a lot to go with when it comes to environments.
The Dream Yes I'm thinking "Inception" here. A landscape that defies reality, whether it be floating buildings or impossible never ending staircases this is a dreamscape from your mind...or somebody else's. The landscape in someway or another must again defy reality though, this is a rule The Abyss Deep water seascape. Open to fantasy or sci-fi so you can have giant alien ships below the surface or giant octopuses that can swallow ships whole. It's up to your interpretation. Assembly Floor trains, cars, ships, spaceships...they all need to be made in someplace. This could get more specific like it could be a assembly floor for a colossal spacecraft(enterprise, star destroyer) link Lucifer's Throne Room Pretty self explanatory Impact Planets colliding into each other, a strange object descending from the sky looking to impact the surface. A rain of meteorites or maybe a giant improbable whale falling from the sky hitting a busy street. The idea is to create a environment that is being impacted by something. That "something" is up to you but it is important to visualize how this impact affects the environment...whether it splatters, blows ups, or even literally evaporates everything...it's up to you! The Creepy Neighbors House Ever seen The Burbs or Monster House? Ever lived in a little neighborhood and there was that house, the house you stayed far away from? That house that everyone thought a serial killer maniac lived or some googly monsters? Well the topic here is you get to design that creepy house. Why is it creepy to begin with and why does it scare everyone in the neighborhood out of their pant's? Is it towering, or decaying. Does it glow spooky colors at night or have tentacles spewing from the chimney top? You must decide. You know honestly this could be a nifty cross-over activity also. I'll leave it to you moderators but think about it. We design the house, characterforge actually illustrates the neighbors and who knows maybe they have a monster pet that can go in the creature activity ![]() |

The tower of Babylon Invisible cities: Creating a world through a description of 'invisible cities' by Italo Calvino. Really love that little book. It movitaves the brain in very original descriptions. Here's a link for some of the stories. |
