Default 3D Creature Planets # 17 : Bio-mechs




*Challenge begins 12:00 pm Sunday, April 22nd*

This months challenge is Bio-mechs, aka machine flesh or cyborg's. Create ANY creature you want and combine it with some crazy Sci-fi, techno-organic cybernetics.

Requirements:
~ Front, 3/4 and close up shots in greyscale
~ Posed beauty shot

*Textures optional*

Examples below:

(don't limit yourselves to the examples creatures or the type of cyber enhancements they have, be creative!)









~Challenge ends Sunday may 20th, 11:59pm EST ~

sound like a lot fun developing a character/creature for this great challenge, hopyfully I time to participate, would love to take part!

      Cool looking creatures, I am looking forward to seeing them polished up.

      With the Hard body stuff you can use the zbrush hard surface brushes or you can create the more intricate pieces in maya of softimage, etc.
      Blocking out the shape first in zbrush then retopologizing it in the main 3D program might help too.
      Back in maya you can bevel the edges, add edges, etc to give a sharper and cleaner look.
      Depending on what you plan to render with, you can bring it back to zbrush to subdivide a few times to give a very nice hard body look. Then exporting normal maps to be rendered in mental ray or just use the BPR render in zbrush.

          The human part is pretty much done. I have some ideas for the hands and the torso which I have started but don't know what to do with the legs yet.

              1 Week left!!!

              This is the time to really push yourselves with your work to try to polish it as much as possible. If you are done the sculpting phase then start texturing. The better your work looks then more people will vote for it.
