Thanks a lot Amaakir! I seriously was thinking about doing a shark too, but decided on a snake instead. It's crazy how that worked out. :O

Anyways, here is more progress on my chimera, so far I have the lines. Next it's value and then rendering it.

Hopefully all those scales won't kill me by the time I am done. :X

Hey everyone! Here is an update on my human chimera for Anatomicae #26. It's coming together slowing but surely and I am hoping I'll be done with it soon, for my own sanity. :X







Also I have two more pieces to share. One is another Silky Chicken study I did a while back and then I have another abstract pen drawing I did for class.

As I allready stated on the challenge...impressive take on the human chimera! This is definitely my favorite (once again!) so far, I love the concept and how freakishly and creepy it looks, also the weight of the body is well achieved, it becomes very believable to imagine this creature slithering around in it's huge, massive bulk of scales.
Great job on the bird and the abstract also!

Buaaaah, I have no idea why I don't just camp out in here. Your works are really beautiful and you capture so much life and energy in your studies. It really reflects what you learn in your personal work, too.

I think for your snake man, you should change the position of his back hand. Either extend it like he's slithering or at least change his hand so it doesn't look so similar to his hand in front of him.
Really excited to see how he turns out.

Anyways, this is a copy paste comment from the Anatomicae thread because I am being a bit lazy, but I have made more progress on my guy. I had to let it sit around for a few days so I get a fresh look at it again. I came back at it again today and really like the adjustments I made (the last two). I am not too sure about the color, but I think I like it as well. All crits on it are welcomed and wanted.
