Don't do enough character sketch ups...and not NEARLY enough creature concepts. So i decided to give my hand at combining the two. Still not entirely sure that i haven't failed miserably. She/it appears to be a bit more pregnant than i had originally hoped for but i figured that's something i could work into the back story if there is one.

Things that need a fixin': Lighting, tones, arm/torso anatomy, head placement/positioning, right forearm shape, left arm position, right arm extension details, waist/abs corrections.

But perhaps you can judge for yourself.



Unfortunately until i get my laptop I'm still stuck with this old Compaq which iv never calibrated so everything i make in PS uploads extremely dark online. Trying to work around that for this piece at least because it's ruined to many of my works in the past.

Hmm difficult to crit, since it’s still in an early state. Where to begin.. determine light source. Since this is going to be sketch we don't have to worry too much about the type of light source but the direction and color would be very useful I believe. Also will it be soft or hard light etc. Since it is a demon will the skin be rough, soft or shiny. Those were the first questions that came up in my head. Hmm don't know or this is of any help at all, perhaps tell us some more about your idea so we can help you with your goals . Calibration is always such a pain in the *ss. Hope you laptop will be fixed soon, cheers!
