This sounds pretty awesome. I'd love to take a shot at this one. Especially since I could really use something like this in my portfolio. I'll probably go with the goat character on this.
I was wandering, is it ok to base this on a character I already have in my gallery? All the pieces for the challenge will be new, created separately and specially for this. I would just really like to use this piece for inspiration. I like the idea of a Caucasian tur in traditional Caucasus attire.

Okay decided to go for the goat, here's some ideas I mocked up.
Still working out what kind of accessories would work, be it something like a weapon, a piece of armour or something else.

For the tank, just how futuristic should it be? I'm assuming it can't be too futuristic for it to be necessary for a specific environment (no hovertanks or flying, anti-gravity tanks, for example). But what about energy weapons? Can it have force-field defenses? Can it be fully robotic?

As long as the average joe on the street would recognise it as a tank I don't care what it looks like

You can have multiple scars, you just need at least two things but can have more
