Now I know this already sounds like a stupid question. Yes I get it, art...artist.
I just acquired a Intuos4, and need to purchase a pen. Im pretty much new to digital painting and not sure if I should get the Grip Pen which is generally $70 ish and up or the Art Pen which is $90-ish and up.
Im sure some are going to say, "Just invest in the future, whats $20 bucks?"
But the difference is that I can get the cheaper one now, or I have to wait a few weeks to get the other. Plus I dont even know if its worth getting for some one of my level. Will I even be properly utilizing its features?
What is the grand difference between the two? And for my level, will it even make a difference?
The Art Pen is the same as the grip pen, but it has the ability to pick up rotation. Also the barrel is thicker. The pen comes with two types of nibs, regular nibs and chisel nibs (think like a highlighter but a lot thinner and smaller).
I have both but I only use the Art Pen. If you draw with shapes that aren't just rounds, it works really well with rotation enabled. You can rotate your brush and work a lot faster/more natural. There's lots of pros to having that capability.
Edit: My browser is lagging a lot for some reason and I lost a lot of text...
