@chrix: Thanks man, I did correct a lot after that and I wasn't supposed to stick on that... all that is visible now is his head, as you said. Well but it was fun kkkkk

@Stepanchikov: Really good! bad ass man!!! I feel like he's too evil, but who said that a future priest has to be a "holy" one.

    And here goes my update...

Today i was trying out a few styles for his clothes/assets but i think i'll stay with a light robe covered with a also light armor and give him a few holy assets and a scepter.

I still haven't found time to work his hand and robe yet, perhaps tomorrow.

Great works by everyone so far, looks like a lot of people do human priest. I rather do a bad boy priest, because not every priest is a good guy! So I though I just post my last WIP :-) Already have finished the model quite a bit but will post it later!

@vAP - Love the particles and depth in your rendering, how are you achieving that exactly? Looks really cool.

I've been very pre occupied with school but, I should be able to come to a result I'm relatively satisfied with within the time frame.

                Here is another small update.

beautiful artwork so far by everyone! Man this is going to be a hard one, great seeing that so many artist are participating!

I have one question on the final image/render! I was thinking about the beauty clay render, what exactly is satisfying to post on here! Never really made a clay render, expect of my single anatomy studies! Would be great getting a quick quide to it or a reference! And another is the winner going to be in the top row? Because I think that is a big motivation aswell to work hard for this challenge.

All participants have fun sculpting and really looking forward to the 30th of April!

                Cheers,
                - kenny

hey, it's my first post, and i will try to participate !

Kenny, i did a quick research, and it seems to me that a "clay render" is just a render without any colors on your sculpt. a "white" render ^^. maybe i'm wrong, it's very new to me too...

SO, here is my first WIP ! my priest of the future..

Very nice updates guys, Now this is really a fun going on in here.
Stepanchikov : Very nice update with some ruinous expression , definitely more loathsome accessories will be a big addon for this guy. Keep going.

lmongo15 : Welcome to the challenge man. Keep posting

KC-Production : Welcome to the challenge man, Clay render is basically used to show the details of any model you create in any 3D application without applying any color textures information on to it.I am posting some of the links where you can have an idea about them.
                  Beauty clay renders samples
New BPR feature previews in zbrush
As far as your update is concerned i personally think the idea is cool but you should work more on the base anatomy instead of putting heavy details at this stage. Keep posting

raphadont : A nice start, Please check the proportions of hands. seems very short at the moment. To me the impressive part is the flow of Armour in this update. Keep posting.

vAp : To me this is the rocking update you are having here man. Somewhere the face reminds me of this lucky lady Patricia Lefranc. Looking forward to the next one.

nnka : I like your vision of priest, very cryptical pose he has here. The feel of cloth is definitely there.

carvuliero : Can you please share the story and theme behind the creation of your character?

jeris82 : Like the expression on his face.. Keep going.

neojuice : Haha this is very nice expression and idea you got there, believe me if you will work more precisely on him with all the correct anatomical forms, this could be a badass entry for sure.

Guys please keep sharing your ideas along with the progress here. Anatomy is the most important secret of being a creative artist. Please keep experimenting with it. It might take your sleeps away but once you start seeing the variation in your art that is the most joyous moment for an artist. There are very few artists around the globe who can really make a difference. There are various features of anatomy in every being. Human anatomy is not the only feature we should strive for, turn around and explore the variations of nature around you. I am also trying to learn it and nail it.

philipg also like yours, nice hands and clothes are looking good, head is fun but i think there is a little too much hard anatomy in there, might consider toning the boney bits down a bit, and strengthening the overall shape. i like his flavor tho and the wrinklyness is cool

Cool to see everyone's approach. Stuff is looking great. Decided to change course and work toward a future priestess. She spends her time intoning enochian invocation in a secret vault. The helmet and neckpiece are not symbolic adornments but the helmet acts as a capacitor for atuning and amplifying certain frequencies and concentrating them into her pineal gland. The neckpiece resonates and amplifies her singing to penetrate the astral realm. Just trying some stuff out. A ways to go yet.
